British Artist Geoffrey Dawson told us...
I've always had the ability to draw, it seems to run in the family. At school I would draw cars - I was mad about shiny things and chrome, big American cars with lots of chrome. Later on I started sketching faces but then work, marriage and children took up most of my time so my drawing was very limited.
In the late seventies I took up airbrush art, customizing motorcycles and cars in my spare time with the most memorable being a van called the Odessa which was featured in a couple of magazines and the local paper.
Now my kids are all grown up and I'm divorced I have a lot more time to draw.
