American artist Richard Adams was born in 1971 and has been drawing for as long as he can remember. Richard told us...
I am a full-time artist specializing in pencil drawings of the animals and landscapes of the West along with other wildlife and portraits.
I worked as a scientific illustrator in the early 90's and my passion for detail was developed during my years as an illustrator. I was diverted by "real jobs" in Information Technology before returning to my original love of art and am now happier than I've ever been.
My wife and I live in Western Montana and I am inspired by the amazing beauty of the natural world that surrounds us. I continue to expand my portfolio of the birds, plants, and animals of the Rocky Mountains and can foresee this lasting for a very long time.
